Have a client who was offered a 5.5% 30 year rate on an FHA loan today.....There is stiff competition out there to get these loans, and lenders are dealing.  Go get one!

Then.....call me to find some real estate to spend it on!

In my quest for the perfect agenda/planner I thought I would check out the Circa system at www.levenger.com  This seems like a viable option, as they do come in "letter" size, and you can have an agenda with a good layout, a journal, notecards, to-do lists, etc all combined in the same notebook.

While not inexpensive, they are certainly not as pricey as the coveted X47 from Germany (that I cannot find anyway).  While surfing around for feedback from consumers on this Circa product I stumbled upon a site called www.retailmenot.com .  You go to the site, enter the name of the product of the manufacturer and it gives you discount codes....for free!  Just like that!

I decided to try out the one for Levenger with a gift for my husband's upcoming birthday...guess what?  It worked!  I love the internet!

Look at this kitchen!  And it belongs to a house on the desirable west side of Olympia (Olympia Schools-Capital High School) within walking distance to Evergreen State College.  Four bedrooms, one on the main floor, hardwoods, three-car garage, 2.75 baths......Seller will look at offers.  Currently offered at $319k......one of only two on the market with the three-car garage.

Fall is finally here....the sunny, nice part of fall that makes us all glad that we live in the Northwest.  

We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday to choose pumpkins which will sit on the front stoop for a while until we have time as a family to carve them up.  Carl makes a huge production of pumpkin carving....involving templates, patterns, special cutting instruments, etc.  

I chose a weird, misshapen pumpkin that I felt sorry for because it would probably not be chosen, probably would be left to rot slowly back into the ground.  I guess I will draw on it....carving it seems out of the question.

Since I have been obsessing about the X47 planner, I had a moment of excitement when driving past this store today thinking the proprietor may have some insight as to how to get my hands on one.  Mathias (owner, presumably) was quite helpful....and if nothing more I think I could order one with his help with the language piece.  Even he was alarmed at the price however....

It is important for us all to support our LOCAL shop owners, grocers, business people.....get out there and shop!

Long time gone...what I've been up to...Obsessing

Truthfully I have been very busy with real estate (my chosen profession) for the past two weeks. Rates have been all over the place, but surprisingly....shoppers out there.  I received three offers in one day last week.  I can't explain it.....but being a gift-horse and all.....

This weekend I have dedicated time to finding the perfect planner/organizer for my daily life.  I switched from digital to analog last year after the Treo debacle, and happily used a standard "At a Glance" notebook planner gifted to me by Candace.

Sadly....I have found it lacking lately because of my other life-excursions that I want to keep track of in a journal sort of way.  I am lugging about this planner and a Moleskine book or two for other projects, and I would love to have a combination of some sort.  Ideally a planner with a journal page beside each day, or something.

Today I have spent hours online looking for options.  Not surprisingly there are plenty of people who want the same "perfect" planner....and blogs and sites dedicated to the search.

I am coveting this cool German system called the X47 www.x47.com.  Sadly, my German is lacking and the other language available for ordering is French.  And if my calculations on the exchange rate are correct, this particular system would set me back a cool $250.  The Moleskine planner is looking better and better, for a mere $20.  But....I am a little obsessive/compulsive once fixated on something, so the search continues.
