This is my first photo with my fancy new camera (Eddie is my step-dad, visiting from Kentucky with my mother for ten days). Now I have changed the settings and messed up the shutter speed somehow....it has like a two second lag and I can't figure out how to change it. So it is back to the book to sort it out...............
Fall is finally here....the sunny, nice part of fall that makes us all glad that we live in the Northwest.
We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday to choose pumpkins which will sit on the front stoop for a while until we have time as a family to carve them up. Carl makes a huge production of pumpkin carving....involving templates, patterns, special cutting instruments, etc.
I chose a weird, misshapen pumpkin that I felt sorry for because it would probably not be chosen, probably would be left to rot slowly back into the ground. I guess I will draw on it....carving it seems out of the question.
These children belong in the British Virgin Islands.....Chance can captain a boat like there is no tomorrow, and Carolina.....well she doesn't spit up, thats all I can say! She usually falls asleep, and in her lifetime so far has slept through the Caribbean and other destinations worth staying awake for. Last weekend she opted out of a boating day in favor of spending the day grocery shopping with a friend and her mom. Genetically....she may not be mine, but I distinctly remember giving birth to her.
